1. Does Advanced Prosthetics Center, LLC accept my insurance?
Most health plans have what is called an out of network option. This allows you the flexibility to seek treatment by virtually any provider. Call your insurance company and ask them if you plan has this benefit and if so, what percentage they’ll cover for a new prosthesis and physical therapy.
We can also call your insurance company to verify your benefits and help you make an informed decision.
2. How much will I have to pay?
This depends on how much your insurance covers. This amount is actually fairly easy to estimate and when the estimation is off it’s usually in favor of the patient owing less that the estimate in most cases. With some basic information, we can verify your benefits and help you make an informed decision.
3. I have a new prosthesis that I received from another provider; will my insurance approve another prosthesis?
Yes! Health insurance benefits are all based on medical necessity and if you have been provided a prosthesis that you are unable to wear, or refuse to wear, you have no obligation to do so. Also, you are a consumer as much as you are a patient and you have the right to make decisions on where and by whom you receive your care. If you are not able to wear a prosthesis and you refuse to continue your care with the company that provided it too you, you have the right to go elsewhere. After the prosthesis is fully evaluated by a trained and experienced clinical team, support for the medical necessity can be written for another company to provide you with a new prosthesis.
